SOMEWHR — CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

This policy governs all bookings, cancellations, and refund mechanisms across the Somewhr User App and Partner App. By continuing to use the Platform, you accept these terms.

1. General Rules

  • All bookings made through Somewhr are confirmed only after successful payment.
  • Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the type of class or service, the Partner (studio/trainer) policy, and the time remaining before session start.
  • Some bookings may be non-refundable as per Partner rules.
  • Somewhr is a curated wellness marketplace; fulfilment is provided by third-party studios, trainers, and event partners.
  • User refund eligibility primarily depends on the Partner’s own cancellation policy, which is shown before booking.

2. Cancellation by Users (Classes & Sessions)

2.1 Free Cancellation Window

Refunds or free cancellations will be governed entirely by the Partner’s cancellation policy as defined in their Partner App settings.

2.2 Late Cancellation

If a user cancels within the Partner-defined late-cancellation period, the outcome will depend on the Partner's policy, which may include:

  • Partial refund
  • No refund

2.3 No-Show

No-show bookings are strictly non-refundable.

Note: Where a Partner’s policy differs, the Partner’s policy will override the above.

3. Non-Refundable Classes

  • If a class is marked “Non-Refundable” at the time of booking:
  • No cancellation
  • No refund

This is clearly displayed before payment.

4. Cancellations by Partner (Studio/Trainer/Freelancer)

  • A Partner may cancel a session due to instructor unavailability, facility/operational issues, emergencies or safety risks, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • If a Partner cancels a session: user receives a full refund. Refunds for Partner-initiated cancellations are processed automatically.

5. Partner Cancellation Rules (Partner App Policy)

  • A Partner cannot cancel a confirmed user booking once the class has started.
  • Partners may delete (cancel) a class, but only with a valid reason and strictly within Somewhr’s permitted cancellation window.
  • If there are zero bookings for a class, the Partner may cancel the class:
    • If the cancellation occurs before the 24-hour window, a 100% automatic refund will be processed for all booked users.
    • If the cancellation is made after the 24-hour window, the Partner must contact the Somewhr admin team for approval, user support, and the creation of any compensatory coupons.
  • If a Partner cancels a class after the permitted window or does so improperly:
    • The Partner will bear the full cost of refunds or compensations to users.
    • Any processing or platform fees may be deducted from the Partner’s settlement cycle.
  • A toggle option will be provided to allow the Partner to stop accepting new bookings at any time, regardless of class capacity.
  • Any coupon created by Somewhr for affected users will be visible in the User App and applicable on any eligible class, subject to admin panel conditions.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in reduced visibility on the platform, temporary suspension, or permanent delisting.
  • Partners must maintain updated schedules and honour all confirmed bookings.

6. No-Show Policy (User)

If a user does not attend a confirmed booking: marked as No-Show, no refund.

7. Discovery Pass (₹799) – Cancellation & Refund

The Discovery Pass is a discounted trial product. Therefore:

  • Non-refundable once purchased
  • Unused sessions cannot be carried forward
  • Expires 10 days from purchase date

8. Refund Processing Timeline

If a user is eligible for a refund, it will be processed to the original method of payment.

  • UPI: 2–5 business days
  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5–7 business days
  • Net Banking: 3–5 business days

Processing timelines depend on payment providers and banks.

9. Service Quality Concerns

If a session could not be completed due to studio closure, instructor absence, safety or hygiene issues, or incorrect listing information:

  • The user must contact Somewhr within 12 hours of the scheduled session.
  • After internal review, Somewhr may decide on one of the following: replacement session or full refund.
  • All resolutions are subject to verification.

10. Exceptions (Non-Refundable Situations)

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Incorrect bookings by the user
  • Change of mind or change of plans
  • Travel delays, traffic, or personal issues
  • Dissatisfaction with class content or intensity
  • Flash sale or discounted bookings
  • No-shows
  • Late cancellations

11. Misuse or Fraud

Somewhr may deny refunds or suspend accounts in cases involving:

  • Multiple late cancellations
  • False complaints
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Misrepresentation of attendance
  • Attempting to circumvent Partner rules

Legal or statutory action may be taken when required.

12. Amendments to Policy

  • This policy may be updated when laws or guidelines change.
  • The platform introduces new features.
  • Partners onboard new service categories.

Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
